NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — Police are searching for a man accused of beating a man's face in an unprovoked attack on a Queens A train last month.
At approximately 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, a 56-year-old man was sleeping aboard the southbound A train in Ozone Park when he was approached by the suspect who began to punch him in the face, authorities said.
The suspect took property from the victim's bag and fled westbound on Liberty Avenue.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sweatpants, clear glasses and grey sneakers.
The victim was treated on the scene for minor injuries.
The individual was also seen carrying a plastic bag and a black backpack.
