NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for a man accused of dognapping a small pooch from in front of a Brooklyn liquor store over the weekend.

It happened just before 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, when a 59-year-old man left his dog in front of 2519 Pitkin Ave. in East New York.

According to officials, the suspect approached the dog, took it from the location then fled on foot to parts unknown.

The suspect is believed to be about 18 to 20-years-old. He was last seen wearing a black sweater and black pants.
