NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- A son killed his mother Sunday afternoon by pushing her down an embankment at a park in Upper Manhattan, police said.
Viane Garcia, 44, was pronounced dead at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where she was rushed by EMS following the push around 4:15 p.m. at Fort Washington Park in Washington Heights.
Garcia, of East Harlem, and her 22-year-old son, Miguel Duval, of Washington Heights, were arguing inside the park when he allegedly shoved her down the grass embankment near West 165th Street and Riverside Drive.
It's unclear what the two were arguing about at the time.
Duval was arrested and charged with second-degree murder, police said Monday.
