NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A subway rider was hospitalized after a stranger hurled a metal object at him in an unprovoked attack at a Brooklyn subway station, police said Friday.

A photo from the NYPD shows the suspect wanted for the Dec. 14 attack at the Wilson Avenue L station in Bushwick.


The 61-year-old victim was on the northbound platform of the station at 12:35 a.m. when a man came up and threw the unknown metal object at him, striking him in the leg, police said.

The assailant immediately fled the scene.

EMS transported the victim to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition with minor injuries.
