NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A masked stranger viciously stabbed a man all over his body as he rode a 1 train through Manhattan, police said Wednesday as they released images of the suspect.

The 30-year-old victim was aboard a southbound train approaching the Cathedral Parkway–110th Street station in Morningside Heights on the morning of Jan. 1 when he was attacked by the man mid-ride.

The attacker walked up and stabbed the victim “multiple times throughout the body” with an unknown weapon, police said.

The victim suffered lacerations across his body but survived and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in stable condition by EMS.

The attacker fled and hasn’t been seen since.
