Duo slashes Manhattan street vendor, pours urine on his Easter baskets: cops

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A street vendor selling Easter baskets was viciously attacked by two people Wednesday night in Washington Heights, according to police.

The attack happened at around 8 p.m. on West 191st Street and St. Nicholas Avenue, where a 57-year-old man was selling Easter baskets.


An unidentified man and woman approached the victim and started arguing with him, it's unclear about what, police said.

Following the argument, the man poured urine on the victim's Easter baskets.

The woman then grabbed a piece of wood from the sidewalk and slashed the victim in the forearm.

The victim was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem.

Both suspects fled the scene.

The NYPD confirmed that they are investigating the incident.
