NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is investigating after a student was shot outside of a Brooklyn high school on Tuesday afternoon.
The shooting happened at approximately 2:44 p.m. as students were being dismissed from South Shore High School in Canarsie, officials said.
According to police, the 15-year-old boy was shot in the right leg by the gunman who was reportedly other teen.
The shooter fled on foot and the victim was transported to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition, police said.
The motive for the shooting is unclear and an investigation is ongoing.
