15-year-old student stabbed while walking to Queens high school: sources

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A 15-year-old student was stabbed in the chest as he walked to school in Queens on Wednesday morning, sources told 1010 WINS.

The teen was attacked at Baisley and Guy R Brewer boulevards in South Jamaica—two blocks from August Martin High School—just before 8:10 a.m., police said.

Sources confirmed that the boy was on his way to school at the time of the assault.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment and is expected to survive, police said.

There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing.
