SUBWAY ATTACKS: Woman slashed across face in Harlem, man stabbed in eye in Bay Ridge

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are investigating a pair of subway attacks in Manhattan and Brooklyn on Wednesday night that left a man and woman hospitalized.

The first attack was in Harlem around 9:45 p.m. A woman was slashed across the face on the subway platform of the Central Park North–110th Street station 2/3 station.

She was transported to Mount Sinai Morningside in stable condition.

While it’s unclear what led to the slashing, police said the victim was being uncooperative with investigators.

Hours later, around 4:30 a.m. Thursday, a 30-year-old man was stabbed in his left eye at the Bay Ridge Avenue station in Bay Ridge.

The victim was stabbed by a man wearing an Amazon jacket as he was on the southbound R-line platform, police said.

He was transported to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in stable condition.

The circumstances around that attack were also unclear. Police said the victim was also being “highly” uncooperative.
