
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- Police on Tuesday released a photo of a suspect who punched a subway rider in the face on a Brooklyn Heights train and then slugged a good Samaritan who intervened.
The two victims were on a northbound R train approaching the Court Street station just before 6 p.m. on Sept. 28 when the attacker punched the first victim, a 22-year-old woman, at random.
When a 23-year-old woman stepped in to help, the assailant also struck her in the face.
The suspect fled the train at the Court Street stop, police said.
EMS treated both victims at the scene for minor injuries.
