NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man demanded a subway rider’s wallet on a Brooklyn train, then slashed him across the head, face, back and leg, police said Wednesday.
The NYPD released images of a suspect in Saturday’s attack near the 86th Street station in Gravesend.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was riding a Manhattan-bound N train around 2:20 a.m. when his attacker came up and demanded his wallet and money, police said.
When the victim refused, the man whipped out a knife and slashed him multiple times, cops said. He then stole the victim’s wallet and fled at the 86th Street subway station.
The victim suffered slash wounds to his head, face, back and knee, police said. He was taken by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn, where he was in stable condition.
