NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released photos on Wednesday of a man wanted in a violent assault on a downtown 4 train in Manhattan last week.
It happened at around 2:40 p.m. on April 3, as the train was at the 14th Street-Union Square station, officials said. According to police, a 26-year-old man was on board the train when he became got into a verbal dispute with the suspect.
The argument quickly escalated into a physical altercation, during which the suspect pulled out an unknown object and slashed the victim across the face.
The attacker fled the station on foot and remains at large. The victim suffered a facial laceration and was treated by EMS before being transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
