NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – A man was stabbed early Monday during a dispute over smoking on a Brooklyn subway train, police said.
The 52-year-old victim was stabbed in the back multiple times at the Kosciuszko Street station on the J line in Bushwick.
He and and another man had been arguing about smoking on the train, police said. It appears the victim was the one smoking and the attacker told him to stop before stabbing him.
The victim was transported to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was in stable condition.
The suspect is an unidentified man, also in his 50s, according to police.
No arrests have been reported as the investigation continues.
The stabbing temporarily caused delays in both directions on the J train Monday morning, the MTA said.
