
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – The NYPD released surveillance images Wednesday of a suspect in a violent robbery in which a subway rider was bitten and thrown to the floor of a Brooklyn train.
The victim, a 21-year-old man, was riding a southbound D train on the border of Bensonhurst and Bath Beach on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 7, when the suspect got into an argument with him, police said.
The suspect grabbed the victim, threw him to the floor, bit his hand and stole his wallet from his pants pocket, according to police.
The thief then fled the train at the Bay Parkway subway station and took off on foot, police said.
EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn, where he was listed in stable condition.
According to police, multiple unauthorized charges were made from the victim’s bank account after the robbery.
