Suspect body slams man on ground, steals his cellphone in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a suspect wanted for body slamming a man then stealing his cell phone in the Bronx over the weekend.

At approximately 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 25, a 38-year-old man was walking into the lobby of his apartment building located in the vicinity of East 138th Street and Saint Ann's Avenue in Mott Haven, when he was approached by the suspect.


The suspect picked the victim up and threw him to the ground before forcibly stealing his cellphone, officials said.

The suspect then fled the location in an unknown direction on foot.

The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention on scene.
