Suspect in construction vest wanted for fatally shooting man in the Bronx

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police were searching Tuesday for a man wearing a construction vest who’s suspected of fatally shooting a man in the Bronx.

The suspect shot the 38-year-old victim in the chest at East 149th Street and Trinity Avenue in Mott Haven around 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

The victim was rushed to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect was wearing a lime green construction vest at the time of the shooting, police said. He was last seen fleeing eastbound on East 149th Street.
