NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are investigating an incident in Chelsea on Monday, during which a man allegedly slashed another man and fled the scene with his dog.
Police received a call at around 1:20 p.m. about a fight between two men and arrived at the scene.
Cops found that the suspect had stabbed the victim, a 56-year-old man, in the abdomen near 9th Avenue, police said.
The suspect, described as having a light complexion, fled the scene on foot with his small dog, identified as a Yorkie.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect walking past Royal Deli on 9th Avenue.
EMS took the victim to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.
A preliminary investigation suggests that the slashing happened following an argument that later escalated, police said.

Police do not believe that the individuals knew each other prior to the incident.
