
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A manhunt is underway for a man police say raped a 5-year-old girl on Staten Island last Wednesday morning.
Dominique Giles, 30, is accused of assaulting the child at about 5:38 a.m. on Jan. 22 inside a residence near Richmond Terrace and Sharpe Avenue in Port Richmond.
According to police, he raped the young girl and then fled the location on foot.
EMS transported the survivor to Richmond University Medical Center for evaluation.
Giles is described as a 6 foot tall, 180 pound man with brown eyes and a braided hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket.
It was not immediately clear if Giles knew the child or if the alleged attack was random.
