
NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Police are searching for a suspect in the strangulation of a woman on a Lower East Side street in late October.
The NYPD released an image Wednesday of the man wanted in the attack at Houston Street and Avenue D on Sunday, Oct. 22.
A woman was walking at 4:10 a.m. when a man grabbed her from behind and strangled her, polices said.
She fell to the ground and briefly blacked out, according to cops.
As the victim got up, her attacker fled on foot towards Avenue C.
She suffered bruising to her knee and a laceration to her neck but was not seriously injured.
