NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD released surveillance footage Thursday of a man wanted for a sexually motivated break-in that occurred in Gramercy over the weekend.
It happened at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, near the intersection of East 21st Street and 3rd Avenue.
According to police, a 28-year-old woman was unlocking and entering her apartment when the suspect ambushed her from behind, forcing his way through her front door. Once inside the residence, the man forcibly touched the victim's body.
The victim fought back and managed to push him out of the apartment before closing and locking her front door. The suspect fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
EMS responded to the scene, but the victim refused medical attention.
