NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The NYPD is searching for an individual seen on surveillance footage punching another man unconscious on a Queens sidewalk and stealing items from his pockets.
Police said the attack happened on the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 132nd Street on Monday night where the two men were seen talking to each other when suddenly one punched the other.
The victim fell to the ground while the suspect rummaged through his pockets, taking the victim's personal property and then fleeing the scene, officials said.
The victim was taken to Jamaica Hospital and remains in critical condition.
Officials do not yet know what property was stolen from the victim's pockets.
The individual is described as having a dark complexion, approximately 30 to 40 years of age.
