NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Police are searching for two suspects accused of beating a 75-year-old man with a piece of wood on a Brooklyn street earlier this month.

The victim was near the intersection of Rogers Avenue and Hawthorne Street in Prospect Lefferts Gardens at about 7:36 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, when he was approached by an unknown group of men, officials said.

Acting together, one suspect struck the older man in the face with a piece of wood while another punched and kicked him. They fled the scene in an unknown direction.

The victim suffered a laceration to his nose, bruising and swelling to his face and a cut to his left finger, police said. EMS transported him to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County in stable condition.

Police released photos of two suspects on Saturday to aid the investigation.

They were both last seen clad in all black. One was carrying a dark-colored bag, and another was wearing gray Croc sandals, officials said,
