NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Two men are sought by the NYPD for a drive-by double shooting on a scooter in the Bronx earlier this month, authorities said Tuesday as they released surveillance footage of the suspects.
The shooting happened just before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9 in the vicinity of East Fordham Road and Grand Concourse in Fordham Heights.
According to officials, a 26-year-old man and a 52-year-old man were approached by two men on a motorized scooter.
The suspects discharged a firearm, striking the 26-year-old man in the right ankle and the 52-year-old man in the back.
Both victims were transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/North Central Bronx Saint Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
The unidentified individuals fled the location on the motorized scooter traveling on East Fordham Road towards Webster Avenue.
The first suspect was last seen wearing a baseball cap, green sweatshirt, black jacket with an unknown design on the front, dark colored pants, and black sneakers. He is believed to be approximately 18-25 years old.
The second suspect was last seen wearing an "8 ball" jacket, black balaclava with a Nike logo, black sweatshirt, dark colors pants, and red shoes. He is believed to be approximately 18-25 years old.
