NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A pair of high school students tried to bring Tasers disguised as lipstick tubes into their Brooklyn school on Tuesday — the same day a student at a Queens school tried to bring a knife resembling a comb inside, according to a report.
The metallic Tasers set off metal detectors as two female students tried to bring them into Thomas Jefferson High School in East New York, the New York Post reported.
The students told school staff members they had brought them to school to protect themselves, the outlet reported.
Not far from Thomas Jefferson High School, at Franklin Lane High School in Woodhaven, school safety agents stopped students from bringing three knives — including one that looked like a comb — inside, according to the outlet.
