NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two men chased an armed teen into New Jersey with the help of police after their Range Rover was stolen at gunpoint on Staten Island early Thursday, officials said.

According to police, the two men, ages 48 and 31, were in the Range Rover on Richmond Road near Burgher Avenue in the Todt Hill neighborhood at approximately 12:15 a.m. when the teen forced them out of the vehicle.

The teen, whose age was not immediately disclosed, hopped into the Range Rover and drove off, but the two victims followed him after jumping into another vehicle, officials said.

Once the men arrived at the Goethals Bridge, they were able to flag down a Port Authority officer who notified New Jersey authorities.

The Port Authority officer attempted to pull the teen over on the bridge, but he continued driving and entered New Jersey toward Route 1/9 North, authorities said.

After a 15-mile pursuit, the teen crashed the Range Rover on Route 22 in Newark and was taken into police custody.

There were no injuries reported.

New Jersey officials charged the teen with eluding authorities.

He is expected to be extradited back to New York, where he will face carjacking charges, police said.
