NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A 15-year-old boy was stabbed Thursday night following a dispute in Times Square with a ticket salesman for a double decker bus company.

The stabbing occurred around 9 p.m. on West 44th Street and Seventh Avenue, officials said.

According to officials, a fight started when the 15-year-old was riding a scooter when he bumped into the 67-year-old ticket vendor.

During the dispute, the teen's friends began to punch the salesman, who pulled out a sharp object and stabbed the teen who bumped into him, authorities said.

The teen who was stabbed initially tried to flee but was taken into police custody.

Officials are questioning the other teens involved.

Police have not charged anyone at this time.
