NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) — While dancing at a large party in the Bronx early Sunday morning, an 18-year-old was unexpectedly shot, the NYPD said.
Police said the party was held inside a rental party venue located on Belmont Avenue between East 186th Street and East 187th Street in Belmont.
The teenager was on the dance floor when he felt pain, looked down and saw that he had been shot in the abdomen, officials said.
He was rushed to an area hospital in stable condition.
There were about 200 people inside the party venue at the time of the shooting, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests.
