NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — The Beach Boys are riding into 2022 with a fresh set of tour dates — including two concerts in New Jersey.
The legendary California pop group is touring without Brian Wilson and Al Jardine, stopping at the Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center in Red Bank on April 5.
The group will then double back to the state on Aug. 27 for a Wildwood concert at the Oceanfront Arena at Wildwoods Convention Center.
The cheapest tickets for the shows range between about $47 and $92, before fees.
The group currently has not other dates scheduled for New York or the surrounding tri-state area.
This tour’s version of the Beach Boys includes Mike Love Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago, according to Wildwood 365.
Wilson and Jardine announced last year that they would be boycotting the band over its decision to perform at a “trophy hunting” event featuring Donald Trump, Jr., organized by the Safari Club International.
“This organization supports trophy hunting, which both Al and I are emphatically opposed to,” Wilson tweeted at the time. “There’s nothing we can do personally to stop the show, so please join us in signing the petition.”
Love has continued to spar with Love last year as Love decided to play fundraisers for Donald Trump.
