NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A robber punched a man in the face and stole his watch on a Greenwich Village street Friday, police said.
The NYPD released a surveillance image of a suspect Saturday, a day after the 38-year-old victim was attacked in front of 120 W. 14th St. around 3:15 p.m.
Police said the victim was walking when his assailant came up from behind and punched him in the right side of his face.
The victim fell to the ground and the thief stole his watch before taking off, police said.
The victim suffered bruising to his face but refused medical attention at the scene.
The suspect was last seen heading eastbound towards Sixth Avenue with the watch, which is valued at $750.
