NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a man connected to five burglaries that occurred throughout Staten Island. Surveillance video captured the thief's latest incident, where officials said he removed about $10,000 after he broke through a deli’s wall from a neighboring business.
The video was taken on Oct. 28 at Grand Delfino Bagels & Deli in the Great Kills neighborhood and the masked suspect can be seen as he kicks through the wall and crawls into the closed store.
The thief then goes behind the counter and also tampers with the surveillance camera.
The burglary is part of a pattern of break-ins in the area that began September 17, at a business located at 4882 Arthur Kill Road where police said he entered via a roof top and removed approximately 10 cartons of cigarettes and $2,500 cash.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
