NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A thief stole a 74-year-old man's electric wheelchair after he parked it in front of a pharmacy in Washington Heights last month, the NYPD said Thursday.
The man parked the wheelchair in front of Asbell Pharmacy on St. Nicholas Avenue, at the corner of West 190th Street, and went inside around 1:25 p.m. on June 19, police said.
While he was inside, another man stole the chair, which cost around $1,900, the NYPD said.
The thief was last seen wearing a collared shirt, khaki pants, black sneakers and a black hat, according to police.
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
