NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Brazen thieves grabbed cash from a 76-year-old man’s pockets in broad daylight on Manhattan’s East Side this week, the NYPD said Tuesday as they released photos of the suspects.
The victim was walking at East 99th Street and Second Avenue in East Harlem around 1:25 p.m. Monday when two males approached him from behind and started snatching the cash out of his pockets, according to police.
One of the suspects then pushed him to the ground before both fled eastbound on 99th Street with the cash, police said.
EMS treated the victim at the scene for minor injuries from the fall.
One suspect was wearing pajamas and a Joker sweatshirt, while the other was wearing black sweats, police said.
