NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) – Two men cloaked in dark clothes, sunglasses and face coverings robbed three victims in Sunnyside, Queens Friday afternoon and made off with $10,000 and a checkbook, the NYPD said.
At 2:40 p.m. on Friday, near Skillman Avenue and 48th Street, two robbers approached three victims in front of a store and displayed a gun, police said.
The bandits then forcibly removed $10,000 and a checkbook from the victims: a 33-year-old man, 40-year-old man and 79-year-old man, police said.
No injuries were reported in connection to this incident.
The suspects fled the scene northbound on 49th Street on a black moped.
Both suspects were clad in all black and can be seen in a photo provided by the NYPD.
The first suspect was last seen wearing a balaclava, sunglasses, jacket (with a navy hoodie underneath), pants and sneakers; the second suspect was wearing a helmet mask, sunglasses, jacket, jeans and sneakers.
