Thieves swipe $8K refrigerator from LI property under construction: police

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — A refrigerator valued at over $8,000 was stolen from a property under construction on Long Island sometime in July, according to Suffolk County Police.

The police department said the Sub-Zero refrigerator (model BI-36U/S) was stolen from a garage at a property on Hill Street in Southampton, sometime between July 21 and 29.


Police did not say how many suspects they were searching for.

The stolen appliance has a value of approximately $8,800, authorities added.
