The incident began around 4:30 a.m. when a 28-year-old man ran out of gas and took an Uber to a Shell gas station on Bushwick Avenue in the Bushwick area of the borough.

While at the gas station, two unknown men approached the victim in a silver Nissan Altima and offered to give him a ride back to his vehicle with a gas can.

The victim accepted the offer, but when he entered the vehicle, the men tased him multiple times, police said.

They removed his car keys and then forced him out of the vehicle at a deli on Broadway, less than 10 blocks from where they picked him up.

Police said the men then demanded the victim go into the deli, use an ATM and bring them money.

However, while in the deli, the victim was able to use a phone and call the police.

The suspects then fled the scene, heading northbound on Broadway in their vehicle, before making a right turn onto Decatur Street.

The silver Nissan Altima used by the suspects is described as having a damaged passenger side mirror with tape on it, as well as a missing rim on the front passenger side wheel.

The first suspect is described as having a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a black hat, black jacket, blue hooded sweatshirt, black pants and multicolored sneakers.

The second also had a dark complexion but a further description was not available.
