NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Make a wish! The New Year’s Eve Wishing Wall event has returned to Times Square ahead of the 2025 ball drop.

The event invites people to share their dreams, goals, and aspirations for the upcoming year. Submitted wishes are written on pieces of paper, mixed with Times Square New Year’s Eve confetti, and released at midnight during the celebration.

“The New Year offers individuals the chance to embrace the promise of a fresh start,” said Tom Harris, President of the Times Square Alliance. “As revelers and families and friends watching on TV embark on a new year together, the confetti showering Times Square symbolizes the dawn of renewed hope as individuals not only reflect on their past, but also look forward to new achievements in the year ahead.”

The Wishing Wall—located on Times Square’s Broadway plazas between 45th and 47th Streets—is open for in-person submissions from Dec. 2 to Dec. 29, excluding Dec. 25, according to the TSQ website.

Participants can also submit their wishes online via the official form or on social media using the hashtag #ConfettiWish. Wishes submitted after Dec. 28 will be printed and included in the following year’s celebration.
