NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — A trash fire ignited a blaze that engulfed two parked cars on a street in Manhattan Wednesday night, according to officials.

The blaze broke out just after 9:15 p.m. on First Avenue near 38th Street in Murray Hill, officials said.

The FDNY called for specialists to remove a twenty-pound propane tank that was inside one of the vehicles.

Firefighters extinguished the flames by 10 p.m. and there were no injuries reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
