NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A man was beaten and slashed during a robbery near the Astor Place cube in the East Village on Sunday afternoon, police said Tuesday.

The NYPD released images of three male suspects they’re searching for in connection with the brazen attack around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, just steps from the famed "Alamo" sculpture.

The 24-year-old victim was on the southwest corner of East 8th Street and Cooper Square when the trio snatched his iPhone out of his hand, police said.

When he tried to get back the phone, they punched him repeatedly throughout his body and slashed him across his left hand, according to police.

The suspects then fled on bicycles and were last seen headed eastbound on East 8th Street, the NYPD said.

EMS transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition.
