NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for a trio of suspects who allegedly jumped onto the tracks of a Harlem subway station after beating and stabbing a man on Monday.

At approximately 4:50 p.m. a 30-year-old man was aboard a southbound 2 subway train heading towards the 116th Street station when he was approached by three men, officials said.

The trio and the victim were involved in a dispute when the man was attacked, authorites said.

The suspects began to kick and punch the man and stabbed him three time in his buttocks and leg before they jumped to the tracks and fled the station.

EMS transported the man to Mount Sinai Morningside and he is expected to recover.

No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
