Trio slash, stab man in Times Square pot deal gone wrong: sources

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — One suspect is under arrest for a drug deal stabbing in Times Square early Wednesday morning, while two others remain on the lam, sources told 1010 WINS.

The 2 a.m. incident at West 40th Street and Seventh Avenue started between the victim and a trio of men over a pot sale, sources said.

The 30-year-old victim was slashed across the face and stabbed in the back, according to police. He was rushed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue where he is in stable condition.

Eligah Efclera, 22, was arrested less than 10 minutes after the attack, police said.

The Bronx man was slapped with a slew of charges that include assault, gang assault, weapons possession, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of cannabis and resisting arrest.

Police continue to search for the other two suspects, who ran south on Seventh Avenue after the assault.
