NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for a truck driver who allegedly struck a 76-year-old woman in Brooklyn and fled the scene of the crash, leaving the victim in critical condition on the street.

The NYPD released surveillance images Wednesday of the suspect in the hit-and-run from last Tuesday morning in Sheepshead Bay.

The victim was crossing the intersection at Ocean Avenue and Avenue U around 9:30 a.m. when the truck driver struck her, police said.

He then allegedly fled the scene, traveling southbound on Ocean Avenue.

The victim suffered injuries to her face, neck, back and legs.

She was transported by EMS to NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn in critical condition.
