2 city employees arrested for stealing a car

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Two city employees were arrested Saturday for stealing a car in Brooklyn.

NYCHA employee Tyquran Horton was double parked in a 2008 Nissan Sedan with temporary tags in Bedford Stuyvesant, according to police.

When officers investigated further, they found the vehicle was stolen and placed him and his passenger, Ramel Scott, under arrest.

Scott works for the Department of Education.

Horton was charged with grand larceny auto, unauthorized use of a vehicle, possession of forged instruments and criminal possession of stolen property.

Even with the serious crimes hanging over his head, the cops still charged him with a stop or stand violation for double parking.
