Union Square to hold first-ever night market this week, with more dates in July and August

NEW YORK (1010 WINS/WCBS 880) -- If you're a foodie, you're in for a massive treat this summer.

Urbanspace announced this week it will be partnering with Union Square Market for the first-ever Union Square Night Market. The series of events will begin on July 11, lasting for four consecutive Thursdays, giving New Yorkers just enough time to join in on the fun.

The nighttime market will feature over 20 of NYC's top independent food vendors, including:

Home Frite

TNT Pineapple Bowls

Treat Yourself Jerk

La Palapa

Parish Po’ Boys

Mama’s Cupboard

Chocolate on Tap

This fun-filled food adventure, taking place at Union Square Park's South Plaza, will be active on July 11, July 18, July 25, and Aug. 1 from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

"We’re proud to celebrate our roots as a pop-up food market maker, spotlight food entrepreneurs, and create a memorable experience for everyone," Urbanspace President Eldon Scott said in a press release.
