NEW YORK (1010 WINS) — Cops are searching the person responsible for damaging nine MTA security cameras from inside two Queens subway stations causing thousands of dollars in damages.

The vandal started his wreckage spree on June 27 around 2:10 p.m. on the northbound 7 train platform of the 40 Street-Lowery Street station in Sunnyside. There, the suspect broke four security cameras before fleeing the scene, police said.


About 15 minutes later, he struck again just one train stop away. At the 46 Street-Bliss Street train station, the vandal damaged three security cameras before fleeing, authorities said.

On July 12, the suspect returned to the 40 Street-Lowery Street station and damaged two more security cameras just after 2 p.m. before fleeing, according to cops.

It's estimated that the total cost of all the damages is $3,003, police said.
