NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly beat a man during an attempted robbery on a subway train in Long Island City this week.

The NYPD released images Friday of the trio they’re searching for in Tuesday’s attack aboard an F train near the Court Square–23rd Street station.

The suspects assaulted the 18-year-old victim around 8:30 p.m., repeatedly punching him in the face as they attempted to steal his backpack, police said.

Despite the group assault, they were unable to steal the backpack and instead stole his ID card and fled, according to cops.

The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Queens in stable condition.
