NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are searching for an armed suspect in a $200,000 heist at a jewelry store in Chinatown this month.
The NYPD released images Wednesday of the man they’re after in the robbery at 253 Canal St. on Sunday, March 1.
According to police, the man forced a man and woman, both 67, to the ground at gunpoint as he robbed the business around 6:50 p.m.
The thief grabbed jewelry from the shop valued at $200,000 and then fled on foot, police said. He was last seen headed eastbound on Canal Street.
No physical injuries were reported in the heist.
