VIDEO: 4 sought after woman, 61, beaten and robbed of walker on Harlem street

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – Police are searching for four people seen beating and robbing a 61-year-old woman of her bag and walker on a Harlem street this week.

The NYPD released disturbing surveillance video Thursday as they continue to search for the suspects in Tuesday's attack at Eighth Avenue and W. 151st Street.

Police said the four people—three women and a man—got into a dispute with the woman around 8:15 p.m. before they knocked her to the ground.

The group then kicked and punched the victim, with one of them striking her in the head with a pot, police said and video shows.

They then stole the woman's bag, which contained $22 in cash and credit cards, as well as her walker, according to police.

The victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition.

She told the Daily News that she didn't know her attackers and that she had just stepped outside for air when one of them yelled at her.

"We were talking, and she just pushed me," the victim said. "She punched me in the face. They pulled my wig off and everything. They hit me in the back of the head and I started bleeding."

The NYPD believes the suspects are between 20 and 30 years old.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
