Police said the man first gained entry inside the Cafe Select Restaurant on Lafayette Street near Petrosino Square at around 2:03 a.m. on Sept. 21.

He allegedly forced the basement access door open with an unknown object, entering the office room — stealing around $6,500 and professional chef knives valued at approximately $900 before he fled.

Authorities said the same man then returned Tuesday at around 1:44 a.m., forcing himself inside the same spot with a crowbar and removed more items, though it is unknown what was stolen at this time.

The repeat-burglar is described as a light-skinned male, medium build and approximately 30 to 40 years of age.

Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-8477.
