NEW YORK (1010 WINS) – A drive-by sparked a shootout on a Bronx street last weekend that ended with the gunmen scattering and a BMW crashing into a dumpster, police said Saturday.
The shootout erupted at 818 Fox St. in the Longwood section around 10:30 p.m. last Saturday when a man in a 2011 BMW sedan opened fire on two men from a driver-side window, police said.
The two men on the street then took out guns and returned fire, according to police.
Video shows the two men ducking behind a parked car and shooting towards the BMW.
Police said all three men then ran from the area.

Two other people who were inside the BMW tried to flee the scene in the car by reversing down the street, but they crashed into a dumpster, police said. Both of them abandoned the vehicle and fled on foot.
No injuries were reported in the shooting, but police said two apartment windows on Fox Street were struck by bullets.
The BMW was recovered by police.
The NYPD released surveillance video Saturday as they search for the men involved.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
