NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – Police are searching for at least two suspects who they say forced a man out of a Mercedes-Benz in Queens and then used the stolen vehicle in a days-long, citywide robbery spree.

The NYPD released surveillance video Wednesday showing two men approaching the Mercedes near Cross Island Parkway and 154th Street in Whitestone on the evening of Aug. 18.

Police said the men carjacked the Mercedes from a 39-year-old man and drove off with the vehicle.

The next day in the Bronx, the duo robbed a 21-year-old man of his cellphone at Blackrock Avenue and Pugsley Avenue in the Parkchester section, according to police, who said the suspects sped away in the stolen Mercedes.

The day after that, Aug. 20, the pair robbed a 40-year-old man of his cellphone at Unionport and White Plains roads in the Pelham Parkway section of the Bronx, police said. They then fled in the Mercedes.

Later that day, the duo struck again in Queens, where they tried to rob two teens of their cellphones at Reeves Avenue and the Horace Harding Expressway in Pomonok. The robbers fled in the Mercedes empty-handed, police said.

No injuries were reported in any of the robberies, according to police.
